The Kiss by Rodin

High quality reproduction of French sculpter Auguste Rodin's The Kiss (French: Le Baiser). The original done in 1882 in bronze was later ordered to be made from marble by the French government to be displayed at the 1889 Exposition universelle. The original marble sculpture can be seen at it's current location, the Musee Rodin in Paris, France. This piece was made in Italy by A. Santini Sculptures. A. Santini sculptures represent some of the most prestigious museum quality lines of sculptures in the world. In fact, nothing comes closer to an original hand carved marble sculpture than A. Santini replicas. This beautiful vintage piece stands 7 inches tall and is 4 inches wide and 2½ inches thick. Signed by Santini.

Stained glass leaves adorn a Tree Spirit intricately designed into a mahogany bronze base featuring a Dryad motif. Dryads, like all nymphs, were supernaturally long-lived and tied to their homes, but some were a step beyond most nymphs. These were the hamadryads who were an integral part of their trees, as is this sweet nymph. This bronze Art Deco style Tiffany lamp is cast in alloyed zinc for cost conscious art lovers.
